2012 APCA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Asian Pacific Islanders for Professional and Community Advancement (APCA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, employee resource group of AT&T Inc. A major goal of APCA is to promote diversity and its advantages throughout our corporation and our communities. One way we accomplish this goal is by granting annual non-renewable scholarships to college-bound high school students. For the 2012 APCA Scholarship Program, we will award ten (10) scholarships of $2000 each.

APCA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The APCA Scholarship Program is open to:

  • All full-time graduating high school seniors in good academic standing (minimum GPA 3.20 on 4-point scale, or 4.00 on 5-point scale), of any ethnic or cultural background, who plans to attend an accredited college (2-year and 4-year) or vocational school.
  • Applicants who are United States citizens or permanent residents of the United States.
  • Applicants who are residents of one of the following states or metropolitan area where we currently have APCA chapters: Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin, and the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area (Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia).

The APCA Scholarship Program will award at least one of the scholarships to the top-scoring child or legal dependent of a current APCA member in good standing.

INTRODUCING OUR 2012 APCA SCHOLARS

Please join us in congratulating our 2012 APCA Scholars listed below. Their academic, community and personal achievements in making a difference in our community were truly amazing and inspiring. On behalf of APCA and all of our scholarship program volunteers, we wish them all the best as they pursue their educational goals

A special thank you from one of our APCA scholars:

"By awarding me the APCA scholarship, you have lightened my financial burden which allows me to continue to pursue my thirst for knowledge. Your generosity has inspired me to help others and give back to the community.  I hope one day I will be able to help students achieve their dreams in the same way you have helped me pursue mine. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart."
